2Baba

2face Idibia officially known as 2Baba has been in the Nigerian music industry for over a decade. Actually, he has been there for almost seventeen years and in this time, he has evolved, going from being a member of a group, Plantashun Boiz to being a solo artiste which he has successfully done for 14 years.

With the new crop of hip-hop artistes in the Nigerian music scene, some might sometimes forget the greatness that we experienced before now in 2Baba, with classic songs that have successfully last the test of time.  This greatness we still experience and feel from this artiste, and although time has changed, he continues to give us the better versions of the greatness we know he’s skilled in dishing out.

When we think of hip-hop in Nigeria, it is important we see the likes of 2Baba and how they’ve influenced and still influencing the Nigerian music industry, giving us classic lyric with rhythmic renditions that will forever blow your mind.

In this post, we will be giving you five songs of 2baba that we consider classics, well, all his songs are, but we will be talking about these five. These selected five covers most areas in human existence, going from love to social issues right down to our communication with humans. Listening to Tuface will make you think, “Yes! this is how i should feel after listening to music!”

So let’s get right into it.

5. African Queen: We know you are expecting to see this somewhere so no need to keep you asking “Where is it?”. African Queen continues to be one of the best songs of 2baba, feeling fresh every time it comes on. This song is a song that promotes the beauty of African women with the video giving us a better representation of what the artiste is saying as it shows different black women with their own shades of beauty but have a common attribute; they’re all beautiful. This song, since it’s release in 2004 is evergreen as every African woman can relate well with it and want to find a part for themselve in it. The song is one that has taken the singer international as even Non-Africans want the song to be dedicated to them also, hence it is a song with global relevance and the name Áfrican Queen’ has come to stay with the artiste over time.

4. E be Like Say: This song talks about the deception of girls and politicians especially in Nigeria where politicians deceive you with their promises until you vote them in and they become who they really are to you. It is not just a Nigerian problem, it is a global problem. There is deception everywhere, hence this song since its release in 2006 is still relevant, giving people the right expressions to the unjust acts of politicians and human behaviors. Why is this a classic? Well, as you can see, humans, Nigerian politics and politicians seem to not have changed and even when they do, the song will still be relevant as it’ll always remind us of a time like this.

3. Nfana Ibaga: This song is one that shows TuBaba’s loyalty to his people, infusing his indigenous language into Nigerian hip-hop. This song encourages all to work hard and get the reward at the end. But one beautiful element the singer used in this song is the element of DESTINY; making it known that once you’ve been destined by God to be a success, no matter how people come against you, that successful you will come to pass but then he said it better with words and rhythm. One thing to definitely take from this record is the end of his introduction where he said: “There’s more to this life than just faking up reality”. A very relevant statement today as it was back then and will be in the future, that’s what classics are made of and 2Baba gave us just that in this record.

2. Ole: A sad classic love song that shows the singer professing his love to a woman that loves another. You’ll agree with us that this is indeed classic not just because of how beautiful he sang a song about an issue many people face, but it is an issue that since 2008 that he released the song is still relevant till date. Till today there’s still that guy or lady that can better tell what she feels with this song because people are still being loved with the recipient of their love not loving them back as they deserve and till date we still have partners that are confused as 2Baba who doesn’t know what to do and this song, as it was for people before them, is now a song for them.

1. Only Me: This song comes with its strong sociopolitical message and truth be told, it should’ve been made a national anthem for Nigerians to remind them to be more conscious of others than just themselves. The song Only Me is a man’s thought of the possibility of a world that has just him and therein he assess the pros and cons of this possibility and the result is eye-opening, showing us that when you think this way, the consequence(s) your actions will birth might affect the next person you were too self-absorbed to consider. This is actually a mentality most politicians have where they act like Nigeria is theirs and make decisions that benefit just then but puts the other person at a disadvantage. “If to say” is a possibility term that we use as Nigerians and even some part of Africa but the song while showing us these possibilities, brought us to the reality in the chorus where he tells people with power and money that all they have won’t be there’s alone forever. A time will come and people will either share their throne or take it away from you hence while you have it, you should be more considerate of other humans despite their present state and that’s all 2Baba is asking in this song, that people should be more community conscious than individual conscious because according to 2Baba, individuality and secret society na im break us all.

Every single song of 2Baba is a song that when you listen to it, it won’t just remind you of a time, it’ll also give you insight to some things you’re presently experiencing. A talented singer he is, and as he celebrates his birthday today, the 18th of September, this is our own way of reminding you of some of the great records he has dropped amongst many any and thank him for allowing us to experience him in the Nigerian Music Industry.

Do drop your own classic hit(s) we must’ve missed.

Some of Nigeria’s artistes have been announced by an American Magazine, The New Yorker as the artistes changing the sound of global pop. Featured musicians are legendary 2Baba, Simi, Adekunle Gold, and his band 79th Element, Davido, Niniola, Skales, Seyi Shay, Falana, Mars and Barzini, and Maka,

These artistes range from the very popularly to the not so popularly with Tuface Idibia being the bridge that connects the artistes of his time with the new generation artistes and also the legend that inspires the new crops of afrobeat talent. While we might not be familiar with every artiste in the article, it is important to note that they have been recognized for their unique sounds in their craft.

The writer, Kelefa Sanneh used 2Baba as a representation of how the Nigerian music has evolved from his Nfana Ibaga days (which was cited) to his present Gaga Shuffle time which the writer believes comes as a result of Tuface trying to meet up to the tempo of the present singers. In his words;

2Baba has to compete with younger peers nowadays, so his music has grown sleeker and more up-tempo. Last summer, he released an infectious dance track called “Gaga Shuffle.”

Buckwyld ‘n’ Breathless is back to thrill fans with another exciting concert packed with great music for music lovers brought to you by your favourite stars. Headlining this year’s event are legendary artiste, 2Face Idibia, Phyno, Falz the Bahd Guy and veteran Nollywood actor, Richard Mofe Damijo.

On the 10th of October, a press conference was held to provide valuable insight to the 7th edition of the annual music concert, Buckwyld ‘n’ Breathless which is supported by Star will take place on the 20th of October at the prestigious Eko Convention Centre.

Speaking at the press conference, the CEO of Buckwyld Media Networks, Efe Omorogbe revealed that this year’s Buckwyld ‘n’ Breathless has been themed “Power of 1” and it will be aimed at empowering youths and reminding them of their individuality. He went further to state that one of the foremost purposes of the event is to reawaken civic responsibility in every Nigerian – with the aim of effacing the mentality that the action(s) of a single person does not hold much value. This aim will be further driven with the official release of the trailer of a Nollywood movie also titled ‘Power of 1’ directed by Izu Ojukwu which features stars such as Alexx Ekubo, Ramsey Nouah, Jide Kosoko, Annie Idibia, among others.

Still on the theme of the upcoming concert ‘Power of 1’, 2Baba stated that the idea is to create something impactful with this edition of Buckwyld ‘n’ Breathless which would have a perpetually lasting effect, as he looks forward to being able to brag about Lagos, Kaduna, Port Harcourt and other states in somewhere as exotic as Miami. The veteran singer went on to add that; the concert and the movie trailer are avenues which would be used to inspire the younger generation; imbuing in them; the belief that one person’s actions can go a long way in bringing positive change to Nigeria as a whole.

Some of the artistes also present at the conference are Falz the Bahd Guy, Timi Dakolo, Brand Manager Star; Onyebuchi Nwangwu, Wasiu Ola Abiola; Head of Sponsorship NBC, Edi Lawani, Ndidi Obioha; co-executive producer of #Powerof1,  Nollywood actress, Annie Idibia and Nigerian comedian Kenny Blaq.

The night of November 4th was an emotional experience for Nigerian legendary artistes, 2Baba who witnessed the conflict resolution or better still reconciliation of his wife, Annie Idibia and his ex-girlfriend cum baby-mama, Pero Adeniyi who has three children for the African Queen crooner.

The video of their reconciliation was shared on Instagram on Monday, 5th of November where the baby mama and wife were seen walking towards each other and hugged themselves after years of publicly attacking each other due to their mutual interest which is 2Baba Idibia.

With his song, “On Love” being performed in the club with fans, 2Baba stated that “I swear to God, there’s something that’s happening to me right now. I’m in tears in now.” after which the singer was seen crying, resting his face on both women and being consoled by his wife Annie.

Annie and Pero have been at loggerhead with each other due to the mutual interest they share which is to be 2Baba’s woman and although both were initially Baby Mamas, 2Babasince proposed and got married to Annie Macaulay after dating her for over 5years. Since then Pero had given birth to three children while Annie has two children all for 2Baba and last night, the singer was able to reunite his family as one.

"The Most Adorable Thing About 2Baba Is He's Very Innocent" - Annie Idibia

2Baba and Annie Idibia

Annie Idibia, the wife of legendary Nigerian artiste, 2Baba has revealed that one of the most adorable things about her husband is the fact that he’s very innocent.

This was revealed in an interview with the NetNG where the Nollywood actress stated that her saying he’s innocent isn’t an intentional act to relate his name to his character, but the husband she knows and love has an innocent heart that although might be seen as naivete but in reality is just the need he has in his heart to want to help anyone.

The presenter of NET has asked the Nollywood actress about the most adorable thing about her husband, 2Baba and she said;

It’s the fact that he’s very innocent and that’s the truth, it’s not his name. He’s actually innocent. Innocent is not like me o, Innocent has a pure heart… I won’t say he’s naive, but he’s just very unreal. He’s like a baby, he has a pure heart.

Speaking of the most romantic thing 2Baba has done for her, she stated that the singer has swept her off her feet so many times and the most memorable will be in 2017 on her birthday when the singer was meant to be out of the country but gave her a surprise appearance when she was at a restaurant. For her, that topped the list of the romantic things he has done for her so far.

#BurnaLive: Burna Boy Gave A Show Worth The Hype & More!

$

BurnaLive at the Eko Convention Centre was worth all the hype to say the least.

The Convention Centre for the first time this December experienced a massive shutdown by Burna Boy who was having his headline concert for the first time in Nigeria.

The show which was billed to start on the 26th of December it started very late with the headline artiste showing up on stage on the 27th at about 2:30 after the once excited crowd was already booing and raising their voices to call out for Burna who seemed to be taking all the time in the world.

While the crowd expected Burna to come up after midnight, the show started with opening acts from rising Nigerian artistes such as Oxlade, L.A.X,Pretty Boy, Soft Attitude, Nissi, Kida Kudz, King Perryy,Airboy, rap duo Show Dem Camp who also brought some members of their tribe such as Funbi, Poe and BOJ during their performance.

The concert had skilled hosts, Jimmie and Shody, who hyped the crowd all through the way as DJ Consequence does what he knows how to do best, make the crowd high on good music.

All these distraction did not deter fans from their mission of the day, to see Burna perform and from the murmurs and complain that the music couldn’t suppress, one could tell they were already impatient from waiting for Burna boy.

At 2:00 am, Olisa Adibua was welcomed on stage with a hype that made the crowd thought it was Burna that was being introduced. Their boo and disappointment showed they were interested in seeing nobody but Burna who didn’t come out until after 30 minutes and all the while, the camera of the phones of these loyal fans stayed on, waiting to capture that moment where Oluwa Burna will bounce out with one of his hit tracks.

He did bounce out at exactly 2:30 am with the sound of Heaven’s Gate and all the complains of the impatient crowd died immediately and resurrected into cheer and unmatched excitement as they screamed “Burna!!!”

Before continuing with the performance, he apologized saying; “ladies and gentlemen I’m really sorry for the delay. I was supposed to have a video and the whole entrance thing playing but we’re in Nigeria so they f**ked it up as usual…”, that was none of the fan’s business, all they want was to see him perform, so guess what? They did not reason the matter again.

The rendering of the songs performed was full of the right energy as he takes his fans through tracks from his Outside Album.

It was surreal watching thousands of music lovers who filled the Eko Convention Centre for the love of one artiste and his music. This crowd could care less if another artiste made it to the stage, all they wanted to see if possible was Burna and they got it with a plus of performances from other legendary acts like 2Baba, Larry gaga and of course D’Banj who gave a worthy performance that was trending many hours after the show was done.

The initially planned entrance video was later played for his second entrance. This video showed Burna as NARCOS that encapsulate his Life on the Outside tour. It showed him in the different cities, him being kidnapped, a plane crash that supposedly led to the faux smoke on stage that leads to Burna’s entrance in a spaceship. This 2nd entrance would’ve been more effective for his first entrance as planned because it didn’t evoke the expected response of surprise; at that point, fans weren’t looking forward to anything that’ll take more time if it wasn’t Burna’s performance on stage, so the energy came back as Burnajumped back on stage with this time a black leather trenchcoat and pants.

He went on to perform his new record Killin Dem released on the 27th of December with Zlatan Ibile who thrilled fans with his Zanku-legwork moves. Wande Coal also came on stage to perform Amo Ra Wa with Burna while DJ Spinall jumped on stage for a brief appearance for Serious. Duncan Mighty also came on stage to support his fellow Port Harcourt boy with Jamz such as PortHarcourt 1st son and Fake Love while Dammy Krane showed up with Amin as he uses his song to pray for Burna and the crowd.

DMW made an organized entrance with Mayorkun performing first, then followed by the crew’s performance of Mind, Mayor left the stage after that as Peruzzi took over with Amaka and Davido ended the DMW performance with One Ticket. The energy DMW crew was impressive considering the fact that they have their own concert to prepare for later that same day.

The last set of performers were Wizkid who briefly gave the crowd Ojuelegba and Soco while Timaya and Patoranking came on stage, not to perform but to show their support for Burna Boy. Burna ended the show with On the Low and of course “Ye” which has been the record that took him from Underrated to Number 1 and of course the show wouldn’t be complete without the performances of these songs.

Burna Live since its announcement has garnered a lot of momentum that made it the most anticipated concert of the year. As a first and most anticipated, it didn’t disappoint and judging from all concerts so far in December, Burna is not just Nigeria’s best artiste of the year 2018, but his show is also the best so far in the year with great performances from the artiste, great lineup that gave their best and of course the excited crowd whose excitement never dropped. Well done Burna, you brought the crowd in, kept them glued and excited every moment of the way. Aside from the lateness and a few technical issues, in terms of performance, this is one of the best concerts we’ve experienced in Nigeria in the year 2018.

"I'm sorry ... I have Fucked up As a Father..." -2BABA Apologies To Wife + More Info

2Baba and Annie Idibia

No one is yet aware of the reason for the apology post 2Baba dropped on his Twitter page in the early hours of Monday morning, the 11th of February, to his wife, Annie Idibia, but it shows there seems to be trouble in the Idibia paradise.

The legendary singer this morning posted an apology on Twitter with the reason for the apology not revealed. In the tweet, he apologized to Annie to messing up and not being a good role model as a father and a husband, asking that the wife forgive him.

The second post was scarier and although less expressive, was proof that something is indeed not right as the 2Baba said;

“Annie u have been my pillar, efe u have been a wonderful manager and ig bro. my fans have beb…m…m… ”

While nobody is aware of what is presently going on, the last status on his wife’s instastory which was about eight hours before his tweet might just be proof that something is indeed going on that is not yet public.

We hope they resolve their issue and everything becomes peaceful again.

Music is used to communicate different forms of emotions and love, in its different shades happen to be one of them. Today being valentine’s day, we have selected 10 Nigerian love songs you should add to your playlist, that’s if they’re not there already, to help you enjoy the day and work through the various feelings the season might stir up in you.

Let’s save plenty talk and dive right into the melody that awaits in no particular other!

No Crime by Nonso Amadi is first on this list even though we said in no particular order because of how it talks about young love or better still, love that’sm about to start, so if you’re a guy and on the “woeing” phase of your journey with the woman you want, this song might give you the perfect words that might just make her say yes! So add it sharperly and start your move after listening.

Wonderwoman by Davido is a song you need to appreciate your woman this valentine’s day. You’ve gone 360 with your woman and with all she has overcome, today is another day to appreciate her and Davido’s song is giving you the opportunity to let her know what you think about her. If you’re single, this song is just as useful as you can also, as a woman appreciate yourself for being the strong woman that you are.

Promise by Adekunle Gold and Simi a day after their white wedding ceremony with video based on their marriage hence it is a great song that should make it to your Valentine’s playlist to renew your vows to your partner with and if you haven’t made any between each other, today is a great time to do so… send them this song to remind them that your promises to always be with them still stands.

On The Low by Burna Boy should be the top song on your playlist if you’re a dependable guy or you’re asking your woman to see you as the dependable man that you are. According to the song, Bae should always call on you because you’re so dependable you no dey fall hand.

Baecation by D’banj and 2Baba is a song to all the lovers out there who plan to give their partners a destination treat… give the treat then flow with the song…

Halleluya is a beautiful song by Johnny Drille and Simi. Are you happy the love you’ve been giving is finally being returned this valentine? You should be because it’s what we all wish for, to love and be loved in return. If that’s the case, this is your celebration song then. Add this to your playlist and celebrate the new love and the season too with.

Lovin is another Simi’s song we lady should send to their man this Valentine’s day, that’s if you haven’t sent it to him before. If you don’t appreciate what’s yours, another person will appreciate him for you and this song is a beautiful song to tell your man he looks really good and you’re proud of his looks because guess what, men likes to hear those words too and it makes a whole lot of difference when these beautiful words are coming from the heart of the woman he doesn’t just consider beautiful, but a woman that is also his. So be like Simi, drop all care in the world, tell him what’s on your mind and give him loving… we all need it after all.

Dear Future wife: Another Johnny Drille’s special for all for those single men waiting and thinking of the beautiful things they’ll do once they find their one true love. Truth is, today being Valentine, a lot of people will be thinking of just that and this song gives you more than the right words to express your thought. You can also reverse it to your future husband if you’re a single woman.

Love Don’t Care is an oldie but goldie love song that is couldn’t keep off this list because it is a song that speaks of one of the confusions of many women who are torn between love and wealth. Well, don’t let that confusion stop you from enjoying love this Valentine season and if you’re not sure, listen to Simi as she sings about what really matters. In this song, Simi says love don’t care who you are or what you do because in the end, love not money is all you need… abi?

Case by Teni is definitely on this list as it is a song that helps you express how far you’ll go for your lover and highly necessary as today is that day where people are testing the strength of their love. For Teni, it is to slap Agbero, go Oshodi and slap Police for his case, you might be different but the song applies, so add it and tell us what you’ll do for your partner’s case today.

And then there’s a bonus track of Mr.s Eazi’s Surrender. I don’t know how that skipped the list, but you should totally add it because it is one song like most Nigerian songs places love above wealth as Banku singer Mr. Eazi sings to his lover Simi while she sings back on how they surrender to each other’s love completely and blind themselves to anything asunder for their love to thrive. I’m sure you’re thinking you really need it, yes you do so add it to your playlist now!

A Message to Nigerian OG (Musicians): Focus More On Music Business And Quit Making Music

Many years back, things were quite different in the Nigerian music industry. There were no digital media platforms like blogs, Twitter, Instagram and streaming platforms. New music was majorly discovered by listening to the radio or watching Tv or from DJ mixes. In the era before the internet became a big deal, even though Nigerian music wasn’t as diverse, we enjoyed banging songs from a number of talented artists. The entertainment scene was dominated by acts like Tuface, D’banj, Mo-Hits, P-Square, Omawumi, 9ice, and many others.

A Message to Nigerian OG (Musicians): Focus More On Music Business And Quit Making Music

D’Banj

9ice

The Nigerian music landscape has recorded a lot of progress in the past few years. Not only has music consumption been redefined, but the creative processes of artists have also changed completely. The advent of the internet and social media has heavily influenced the entire field of music, making the creation of music and marketing it take different shapes as opposed to traditional means. The attention span of the audience has grown shorter as there is an influx of artists in the Nigerian music industry. Back in the days of Mo-Hits and the likes, there were only a few notable names who were consistent with their craft. There were many one-hit wonders, but those who could survive the tide were those who were able to maintain relevance no matter what it took.

P-Square

M.I Abaga

Timaya

It is imperative for an artist to constantly evolve while remaining true to his or her roots/origin. This is one of the things that helps artists remain relevant for a long period of time. It is evident in the careers of artists like M.I, TuBaba, Don Jazzy, and many others. They study the industry and fit whatever is the current order in their sound and imaging. As an artist, your utmost duty is to satisfy your audience while ensuring to deliver quality content. It is even much more important now that the competition in the industry is stiff and the fans have become much more conscious towards music. There is a medley of artists who are regular in the release of superlative musical content and this has made it easier for music fans to switch allegiance.

Tubaba

Don Jazzy

Some Nigerian artists have worked extremely hard to inscribe their names in the list of legendary musicians. Artists such as D’banj, P-square, MI, Tubaba, Timaya have toiled to earn their reputation. They have successfully managed to stand the test of time and are highly recognized locally and globally. They paved way for many other Nigerian acts and walked on thorny grounds so that another generation of artists could run on smooth grounds. Their OG status can never be challenged. They would forever be known as pacesetters and whenever music discussions come up, it is inevitable for their names not to be mentioned.

When you reach OG status (like Jay Z in Hip-hop) you have to do everything possible not to jeopardize it. You begin to make the kind of moves that business tycoons make. You approach the music business in a smarter way, controlling the scenes from the background. Chances are that the sound has evolved so much that you are no longer as smooth as you used to be. At this point, you become very selective and careful with the kind of content you put out. There has to be a balance. You don’t want to sound old school neither do you want to lose your original style. It is expected that you avoid ridiculing yourself because you are trying to blend in (imagine a DMX trying to pull a Tekashi69 just to get some buzz).

This is what I expect from our OGs. The Nigerian sound is not what it was a few years back. Only a few artists like Tubaba, MI, Timaya have managed to repeatedly refine their sound to satisfy mainstream. Without necessarily mentioning names, the OGs in the game ought to shift their focus away from making music to working on creating more efficient structures which can be really beneficial to emerging artists. They should invest more in new artists with fresh sounds instead of trying to whip a dead horse in the name of making music. It does not necessarily mean they have lost the sauce but rather that they no longer need to compete with fresher acts. Judging by the songs most of these OGs (with the exception of a select few) have put out recently, it would make more sense for them to operate from behind the scenes and not soil their legendary status with subpar content.

Blackface’s Diss Track ‘War’ Is Unnecessary: Why Is He Obsessed With 2face?

It is disheartening to see musicians who were once inseparable take turns at one other over trivial issues. Much worse is when the beef is skewed to one side, leaving one person bitter while the other person is not bothered in the slightest bit.

As one party lays numerous accusations, the other party is seated relaxedly, chugging down a jar of beer while watching his or her favorite station.

Since time immemorial, Blackface has taken a stance against Nigerian legendary musician Tu Baba (who was formerly known as 2face), zealously accusing the African Queen singer of intellectual theft, with claims that many of Tu Baba’s songs are, as a matter of fact, his own songs.

Blackface

Asides from the fact that the accusation reeks of sheer buffoonery, Blackface appears to be going about handling the situation in a wrong way and it might end up being counterintuitive.

2baba

Several years back, there was a popular music group known as Plantashun Boiz. The group consisted of three acts namely 2face, Faze, and Blackface. They were responsible for shaping the Nigerian sound during the late 90s and early 2000s, releasing back to back hits and ruling the pop scene.

Faze

However, for some unknown reason, the group split up and each artist pursued a solo music career. So far, 2Baba has been the most successful out of the trio. He released African Queen in 2004 and the song went ahead to become one of the greatest hits of all time, breaking and setting records.

Ever since Blackface has made it a lifelong mission to discredit 2face and stir controversy because of his claims that many of 2face’s songs are either his or belonged to them both.

Blackface has taken this matter to court and there has yet to be any major development since then. Rather, there has only been more allegations from Blackface without any response from 2face. It is safe to say that 2face is ensuring to avoid any form of conflict or it could be that Blackface is delusional and 2face has refused to take him seriously. Now, no one knows the veracity of Blackface’s claims. No one has come out to corroborate his story.

Blackface

Blackface seems to have become obsessed with hating on 2face and is doing everything possible to sabotage the singer’s career. To what end? There is hardly any reward if Blackface successfully ruins 2face’s career – although it’s highly unlikely – so what does he stand to gain? Bringing another man down won’t magically make you rise. That’s not how the world works.

If there’s a splinter of truth in whatever Blackface is saying, then is it not better to focus more on his craft and sever all ties with 2face instead of this tomfoolery?

Tuface

A few days back, Blackface released a diss track War. The track is centered on Blackface’s vindictiveness, showing how much hatred Blackface harbors for 2face. It’s disturbing and it tells more about Blackface than about 2face. Why won’t Blackface let this matter go?

If he truly wrote the songs then it shouldn’t be so difficult to write new songs then, yes? This has gone beyond just wanting justice for being cheated. It has become an unhealthy obsession with a superstar and honestly, it’s counterproductive.

He has reduced himself to a bitter ex whose life revolves around the partner who broke his heart. He has caged himself in a box such that the only thing that matters to him is the downfall of 2face.

Blackface

Blackface is at least 40 years old – old enough to avoid unpleasant situations instead of immersing himself in them. He could easily focus on the betterment of his own career while leaving the matters in the hands of legal practitioners. But he is not willing to go through that route. He would rather mess things up and ultimately mess himself up, focusing on things that have been long forgotten, instigating a dispute that has forever been one-sided. It’s painful to watch a man who could have easily walked the itinerary of music legends engage in a cockeyed altercation.
